IN
MEMORY OF HONEY "BUNNY":
Honey “Bunny” had
to be put to rest 12/22/03 after living a most wonderful 14 years. Besides
the usual old age problems (incontinence, arthritis etc) she had disk degeneration
in her neck and could no longer walk even with lots of medications. The pain
was severe and came on extremely fast (in just a few days time). She had never
shown any signs of this, until it was too late. It was the hardest thing to
see her in such pain and unable to walk at all. In her younger years she was
able to leap up on kitchen counters and steal food with the speed of light.
After teaching her to not do this…She then became stealthy & gentle
about taking food out of children’s hands and they never knew she took
it…nor did they mind…since they could pet her. She could run
like the wind with her best friend, a huge black Labrador/Great Dane Mix dog.
She was the alpha dog with her much taller Labrador friend … even though
she was very quiet (very little barking) apparently she carried a big stick.
Most of all she was the most loveable of dogs I’ve ever met and we were
honored to be in her ‘den’.
We miss you Honey Bunny!
