I just wanted to let you know that our sweet sweet boy passed over the rainbow bridge last night. He had a rough weekend; his back legs giving out Saturday and his front legs giving out Sunday. He could only walk a few feet at the time and then would have to lean on a wall or furniture to support himself. Due to his age, the odds of him surviving the neck and lower back surgery we investigated last year were not good at all. We had to make that awful decision to let him go. We stayed with him and held him till the end. Our lives and hearts now have a huge whole that will never be filled. He was the best dog ever and we are grateful for the time we had with him and the happiness he brought to us.
